Hello Experts,
I’ve been using the IFS.ai features (Co-Pilot and some of the use cases) in IFS cloud 25R1 instance. Now that 25R2 version is released with the loops digital workers, I have a keen interest in understanding how to actually set them up in IFS so that they can be used.

Please note that I’ve already completed all the IFS Academy courses regarding different digital workers. While those courses explain and breakdown the concept and fundamentals, unfortunately none of them showcase the actual process of configuring them to use.

Hence, I was wondering if there are any avenues for me to,
a) Get my hands on detailed documentation on setting digital workers (e.g., all the necessary BD setups, System Parameters/Properties that needs to be enabled, How to access each Digital worker flow for audit purposes)
b) A reference environment with test data like IFS demo showroom where this can be tested.

Thanks for the support!

Cheers!

@GTERANA Thanks a bunch, this actually helped!

Having said that though it would have been nice if they added some screenshots instead of plain text instructions - as for those of us who has not seen the setups (including me) some of the these instructions are still bit confusing.

But it is a good starting point to dig a bit deep on actual configuration and setups. If we have a demo environment to play around a bit that would be the absolute cherry on top! :)

Thanks again!

Thanks for the thoughtful question and great to hear you’ve already gone through the IFS Academy Digital Worker courses. That feedback is helpful and appreciated.

At this time, IFS Loops Digital Workers are delivered as a fully managed solution. This means the Digital Workers are built, configured, and deployed by IFS to ensure they are secure, and aligned to real operational outcomes right out of the box.

Because of this model today:

  • Hands-on configuration and walkthroughs are provided as part of deployment for active customers, working directly with the IFS Loops team.
  • The detailed configuration steps (BD setups, system parameters, internal flows, audit wiring, etc.) are not yet exposed for self-service configuration.
  • There is currently no public reference or demo environment (such as a reference tenant with test data) where Digital Workers can be independently configured or modified.

That said, we’re actively working toward this. Self-Build and customization capabilities are planned for later this year, which will enable customers and partners to configure, extend, and tailor Digital Workers themselves in a controlled and supported way.

In the meantime, we do provide conceptual, operational, and usage documentation through our Knowledge Base, which you can access here

Thanks again for raising this, questions like this directly help shape how we evolve Digital Workers going forward.

Thanks a bunch @JohannesWittwer this certainly helps!

@mohan08 appreciate you taking time to provide an elaborated response. It certainly makes sense to me why they are packaged and delivered to the Active customers at this phase.

Having said that, as you said rest of us are looking forward to experiencing the loops digital worker ourselves so that the capabilities and strategic fit at the corporate and the operational level can be gauged before we put together a proposal to the C-suite. I believe opening it up for the existing customers who are interested in understanding how these digital workers can help them in real day to day scenarios would create a ‘win-win’ situation for both parties!

Cheers!
