In IFS cloud there is a new concept in the data source designer called Data Root. What is the purpose for this?

Depending on the source of data used to create the lobby data source, there are different types of lobby data sources.

  • SQI Data Sources
  • Projection Data Sources

“Data Root” relates to Projection Data Sources.

I’ve defined projection ‘ShopOrderHandling’ as the projection and ‘ShopOrds’ as the data root. ShopOrderHandling projection has a data element called ‘Objstate’ in the API documentation, but still I cannot select the element from Lobby DataSource column chooser.

Does the Lobby datasource designer use some limited datamodel compared to the API datamodel?
