Hello,

Changing the status of Customer Order to Released state and processing the steps for Shipment Lines to reserve, picklist, complete, deliver and close takes too long time to execute.

Is there any possible solution to resolve this issue.

Thanks and Regards,

Sangeeta Saha

Are these processes being executed online or in the background?

Hi @Sangeeta Saha

just as @COVJAMIEB stated, check the Shipment Type used. If it has “Online Processing” disabled, then the events go to the Default Queue and it can take a real long time to process depending on which other processes precede it in the Default Queue.

Hello @COVJAMIEB and @Mikko K.

Thank you for your response.

Processes are being executed in background.

It seems enabling online processing option will help.

But will it have any other impact except for processing the steps?

Please let me know.

The only impact normally is that the user executing the process will have to wait until it’s completed before moving onto something else.

The processes executing in the background is good, as long as the processes are in the correct queues, normally people have these in a faster queue that the default. I would also suggest that background jobs are reviewed regularly relating to these processes for any errors. If executing online the user will have visibility of these errors instantly.
