We are using IFS Cloud 24.2.5 and are experiencing the same issue I found in this post but there have been no responses.
The problem is intermittent. The message will pop up, the assignment is created but is missing information and has to be cancelled. When we try a second time to create the assignment by selecting the same resource, there is no message and the assignment is properly created.
Does anyone know what causes this and how to fix it? I have not submitted an IFS case because it can’t be replicated on demand.
In our scenario we follow these steps:
- Navigate to Work Tasks
- Search for Status=New
- Check the box next to the task > Assign or Allocation > Assign Multiple Tasks
- In the assistant/dialog box choose Resource
- Click Ok
- Message is displayed
- Again select Assign or Allocation > Assign Multiple Tasks
- Choose the same resource
- Click OK
- No message
Navigate to work task
There is an assignment with no resource assigned. It has to be cancelled.
There is also an assignment with the correct resource.
This print screen (Maintenance > Work Management > Preparation and Planning > Work Task > Assignments tab shows the example where the assignment didn’t get properly created due to the error (1, 6) but was created correctly numerous times choosing the same resources.
