Using Calculation Formulas Across All HR Modules in IFS Cloud

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some insight on Calculation Formulas in HR and Payroll. A few questions:

  1. Does the Calculation Formulas feature work in HR modules other than Time & Attendance and Payroll? If so, how can it be used in those modules? And does anyone have examples to share?
  2. How do the Calculation results affect in HR process flow?
  3. Does anyone have real examples of using these features in IFS Cloud?

Any guidance or examples would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi

The calculation formula was built to be used to support the time and attendance only. If you read the online help you can see that it is to take data from schedules, day types and the calculated results to then produce additional results or replace the calculated results in the time card.

It can be used for recreating formulas that clients are using in spreadsheets to calculate items like overtime, shift payments and additional payments, where the standard functionality like increments and additional results do not support.

Mainly it can be used for weekly overtime, instead of having to set up the periodic overtime functions.

Thank you for your explanation. Could you share some use cases for Calculation Formulas in Additional Results or other areas within T&A? Also, where are the results stored, and can they be used for reporting?
