Hello,

When you create a system generated report it gives the option of cvs only, it would seem, and if there is comma’s in a field it can push the data over to right so data appears out with the column headers.

Do you know if there is a solution for this?

Thanks

Ross

Hello Ross,

It seems that you are facing an issue with system-generated reports in IFS Cloud where the CSV format is the only available option. This limitation can cause problems when there are commas within a field, resulting in the data being misaligned with the column headers. To address this issue, you can consider the following solutions: Enclose fields with commas in quotation marks: When generating the report, make sure that fields containing commas are enclosed within quotation marks. This way, the commas within the field will be treated as part of the data and not as separators. Use a different delimiter: Instead of using commas as the delimiter in the CSV file, you can choose a different delimiter that is less likely to appear within the data. For example, you can use a tab character, semicolon, or pipe symbol as the delimiter. This can help prevent misalignment when there are commas within the fields. Export data in a different format: If possible, explore the option of exporting the data in a different format that supports more advanced formatting, such as Excel or PDF. These formats provide better control over the layout and alignment of the data, eliminating the issue of misalignment caused by commas. It's worth noting that the availability of different export formats and the options to handle commas may vary depending on the specific version and configuration of IFS Cloud you are using. I recommend consulting the documentation or reaching out to the IFS Cloud support team for further assistance tailored to your environment. I hope these suggestions help you address the issue with CSV reports in IFS Cloud. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask. Best regards,
