Hello,

I am facing Request Aborted after initiating the Payroll Payment process. The process is taking time to execute and at the end it shows the error. Any idea/suggestion what to do.

Hi,

Usually, this error is triggered when generating payslips because the system takes more than 30 minutes to execute reports, which is the standard ‘statement execution timeout’. However, it is not recommended to increase the statement execution timeout of the system because it’s applicable application-wide and could cause performance drops in other functionalities.

High data volume and CPU resource/performance related issues are the main two culprits behind this timeout error. Please check whether there is a lack of CPU resources in the VM as this could cause a considerable delay for awaiting CPU.

How many employees are there in a monthly payroll ? Generally,  higher the number, the longer it takes to generate payslips. Recently, the Payroll Product Development team has introduced some Apps10 patches to enhance the performance in payslip generation when there are high number of employees.

If you get this error every time you generate payslips in the payroll payment window, it is better to raise a ticket to IFS SUPPORT so that we can further investigate and identify the exact root cause.
