Question

Overtime rules

Forum|alt.badge.img+5

Hi all,

I wonder if anyone can offer us advice on overtime.  Currently we have extra hours converted to  overtime at 1.5 times pay via a balance conversion.  A new company initiative has been launched that lets employees receive double time for any overtime over the 6 hours mark in any week.

I can calculate the 1.5 and 2.0 times pay in the Periodic Results window, but would like to know if there’s any way to update the Time Card data to include the split of 1.5 and 2.0 times overtime.

I appreciate that this may not be possible, but wonder if anyone else has an examples?

Many thanks,

Scott

HI @s-oflaherty   Are you using periodic results as you pay overtime on a weekly basis ?

Hi Rachel,

We pay overtime on a monthly basis, but our flex schedules are weekly .   We only use periodic results to calculate the 1.5/2.0 split, but there may be a better option that we aren’t aware of.

Many thanks,

Scot

Hi,

I have not managed to display the result of the periodic calculation in TIme Card. But… I am hoping that new functionality “Calculation formulas” might solve this in IFS Cloud.

If it bdoes I will replace periodic overtime rule with setup in Calculation formulas. Haven’t tested yet though.

Which version of IFS do you run?

Regards,

Maria

Hi Maria,

We run IFS Apps 10, but are starting an upgrade to Cloud this year so the new functionality definitely sounds interesting!

Thanks,

Scott

Hi,

You could possibly create addidtionnal results with 2 information type wage codes, on the sunday for example sending your 1.5 and 2 pay hours.

Regards,

Lucie
