I have a requirement to change the organization unit and position of employees at same time. Will it be enough if i change the valid upto date in existing assignment record and migrate new assignments using migration job. Do i need to change it in period information as well. i believe the latest valid upto data of assignment must match with period validitity.

I suggest that you investigate if you can use Group Employee Assignments and also create a Selection Template to select the employees in a easy way:

We cannot use group assignments as there is a combination of different people going into different organizations. i tried to use migration job but with no luck . i added the fields accordings in migration but getting this error message as below.
