Hi,

I’m facing with an issue trying to report MCPR time in IFS Cloud.

The employee is created as master employee in company A and as MCPR file in company B. While the employee trying to report time in employee company, he receive an error message saying that he is not connected to company B. “Access denied! User xx is not connected to Company SY102”

Can someone help me on this?

The MCPR setup is the standard one.

Hi,

The MCPR employment in company B - does it have valid assignments to organisationunit and position? And which status has the MCPR employment, preliminary?

Regards,

Karolina

Hi Karolina,

MCPR file is in status “Preliminary” and yes assignment is valid for the employee.

If I connect the user to the company will work, but is not the solution because of the acces to other companies.

Thanks,

Cristina

Hi @ArcCristF ,

Which version are you using? There is a correction in 25R1 SU3 (and in 25R2 EA/GA) that addresses what sounds like a similar issue.

A potential workaround is to ensure that there is a resource planning line for the relevant resource group on the customer company project activity, in case the Resource ID linked to the employee has been connected to the customer company, alternatively disconnect the Resource ID from the customer company.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,
Johan

Hi @Johan Lagerström

Thank you, I’m using 24R1. MCPR process worked so far. If I’m doing the workaround provided by you, I still have this error.

Cristina

Hi @ArcCristF ,

Just to clarify, as I realise I might have been a bit unclear in my previous answer.

Does the Resource ID for the Person linked to the Employee have a connection to the customer company in Resource Details?

If so, what likely happens is that the system tries to update the Resource Planning Line on the Customer Company Project, giving the error if the user has not also been granted access to the customer company (i.e. in the Users per Company page). If no planning line exists, it tries to insert it, again giving the error.

If there is a company connection for the customer company, does it work if you temporarily remove it?

Kind regards,
Johan
