When employee is working during night time and daytype is setup using from current to next the attendance time is registered to time card on the date of the evening when employee starts his work.

During this same night when reporting time on shoporders through workbench the manufacturing clockings goes to the timecard of the date when they where actually performed.

So as an example

On time card for Tuesday 2020-04-14

Intervall page show 2020-04-14 22:00 - 2020-04-15 06:00

Manufacturing clockings pages show transactions where stopped dates are from

2020-04-14 00:15 - 2020-04-14 22:55

According to attendance daytype settins the majority of those transactions show have been shown on time card for Monday 2020-04-13

Is there a way to set the system to handle this ?

If you have a shift from 22:00 day 1 to 06:00 day 2 that is configured to belong to day 1, you should expect that manufacturing clockings started and stopped within this interval are booked on day 1.

However, the setup must be done carefully. Assumed you’re on Apps 10 you must make sure the Calendar ID on the Person tab in the Manufacturing Labor Class for the relevant Person does not have any value. Instead, the “Use HR Schedule” should be selected, and of course, the employee linked to this person must have a valid schedule with the shift setup as mentioned.
