IFS8 Time Clock Error - Wrong Employee Number

Does anyone know how to clear out this error? I’m trying to set up a new timeclock terminal and I am getting this error every time.

Hi,

Some questions:

How have you set up the card parameters?

If you swipe your card in notepad - what number do you get then?

What card number have you entered in employee file?

I do have the card parameters set up. We haven't had to set up terminals in a long time, so I duplicated the lines of other terminals and card parameters and keep getting that error.

And the user you are logged on as when testing this has really got access to the employee?

If you check in “Supervisor Access - Setup”?

The user is set up with a generic person, no specific employee with any position access as multiple people use this account. I have other Users and Timeclocks that are not granted any position access but they are the assigned the person for the user and they are the only ones using the timeclock on that user.

Hi again,

Time Clock users do not need employees connected but the person connected to the user must be granted HR access to all employees that should be able to clock In and Out on the Time clock.

If you are on IFS 8 you do this with a position in the window “Company access”
