How can I get the data in Payroll/Self Service though it is there in Payroll. Any setup would be required?

I believe this issue could be due to permissions. Since the self service functionality is a complete manager and employee self-service tool that ensures employee involvement. The employee self-service functionality will depend on the permission sets/access setups you have given for your employees.
Please check the Permissions given.
