Hi,

The database task “Generate Timrep Intervals and Hours” should also automatically generate the results for deviation absences, as described in the community post below:

I could not figure out why, the results for the deviation absence im my case is not getting created.
The system shows, that the day has a deviation absence active. However, the background job has not generated anything for this case (Public holiday compensation and other functionalities work fine) .

Any hint to the right direction is highly appreciated :)

Anny

Dear Kicki,
Maybe you have some input for me regarding deviation absences? 😃
Thank you so much!

Hi Anny,

Are you using an employee deviation cycle?

Depending on the setup you have for your employees (job hours results or clocking based result) you shall define clockins in the deviation cycle as per below

Hoping this helps!

Hi Luc,
Thanks for taking the time to reply!
Actually, we don’t use a deviation cycle and the employees do need to clock in/out (clocking based results). The business case is as following:

The function deviation absence (Deviation with Exact Personal hours) is used for vacation in this very particular customer requirement:
The endusers are allowed to work few hours during vacation. These hours should not impact the absence entry under any circumstance. Meanwhile the attendance time should go directly to flex time. This work perfectly, if the employee clocks in.

However, for the “normal” vacation days, I would still need the result for the full absence day.

Can I even use this deviation days for this case? I am strugeling to find a suitable solution for this case.

Thanks again for your help :)

KR,
Anny

Hi again 🙂 ,
I believe, I know what the issue is: the TIMREP background jobs only calculate 14 days past days. My example was in beginning of January…  The intervall  and results were generated up until the last 14 days - so it works!
Do you happen to know, if we can adjust the calculation period of the background jobs?

Thanks for your support!

KR,
Anny

Hi @Anny, without a configuration I don’t think it is possible to change the calculation period of this background job, but you might seek adice from a more technical profile than mine ;)
