Hi all,

my customer uses IFS 10 UPD 6 and we found no way to hide the employee bank account neither with GDPR module nor HR accesses in the employee payment module:

Does anyone knows a way to hide this information and ifs not possible in APP10 UPD6 which version has this ability?

Thanks a lot for your support

@RECOFR you can build a data processing rule that you attach to all new starters that masks the bank details

sorry I did not see that you were in app10 this is available in cloud

HI Rachel,

thanks for this try 😉

if you know somone that could get the answer one APP10 that would be great !

Hi,
I cannot find any Access Attribute for this in App10. There is in IFS Cloud, since the Employee Payment Data (for instance Bank Details) has been enhanced in IFS Cloud.

The Personal Data Management can however not be used to hide data, only delete or anonymize it.

Since you do not want to show the data at all in this page, you could just remove the column. In IFS Cloud that can be done with Page Designer. I am however not sure of the method for it in App10 IEE.

One question: This is the Employee Self-Service page. Why can’t the Employee see its own Bank Account?

Regards,
Magnus

Hi Magnus,

thanks for your quick reply

This issue is the same in employee expense window than in self service:

As far as i know, there is no way to hide column in APP10 that the user can’t unhide then.

Good to know what the IFS Cloud limitations are.. Can you in page designer hide column in function of permissions/projections or HR accesses or will it be hiden for everybody?

BR

Hi,

Please ask your question on hiding a column in IEE App10 in a technical forum in the community. Perhaps there is a way, but then it is a generic solution for the whole environment, not just HCM.

Regarding IFS Cloud, there are no limitations as I see it: you can either control who sees the data via HCM Access, or you can choose to remove the column entirely via Page Designer. Thus, you have both options.

The GDPR functionality has never been designed with the intention to hide data, that is what access is for. With the GDPR functionality you only motivate which data you are allowed to store and delete it (anonymize it) when required.

You’re right, visualization of personnal data is managed in HCM, not in GDPR.

In APP10 pesonnal data access do not include employee bank account, which is personnal by the way…

Is it the same in IFS Cloud?

As I wrote in my both previous entries, access for bank details can be controlled in IFS Cloud, but not in App10. That does not help you in this case, but can be good to know once an update to IFS Cloud has been made.

OK thanks, we know what we can and can’t do then. Thanks a lot for your help Magnus and Rachel
