Error Message: Leaving Cause Already Exists

Within IFS10, I am trying to add new reasons for leaving which do not exists but each time I try to add a reason I get the following error message:

 

The Leaving Cause already exists

Details:

!>Leaving Reason Id=5

 

Has anyone experienced this before and know how to resolve this?

Maybe (part of) the reasons for leaving have previously been migrated? After all, the error message is referring to an internal, invisible attribute value.
