These are used when the employee payment method is BACS. A Bacs payment is a bank-to-bank transfer between banks in the UK.
EMPPAYBSOC stores the employees Building society account number, Building society is something similar to bank in UK. I would say the difference between bank and Building society are the way its run, Banks are mostly listed and in the other hand Building society are owned by members
