The Person id was incorrectly provided while creating the Employee file.
Is it possible to make changes to the created person record( change the person id) or do we need to terminate the employee and start over again?

If you realize this directly, before you have any history or transactions on the employee, go to Company and the tab Employees - here you can just remove the employee.
If you already created transactions and such you have to remove that first.
Don’t terminate! If you do, you will have historical information in the termination log that you can’t remove.
You can’t change person ID on an employee. However you can create another employee on the same person - if the employee number was wrong… but I suggest you just remove.
