But in my case the schedule generation option is not enabled. Do you know any reason for this?

Hi @Chandima Pathirana ,

I was able to identify that this database task option to generate absences automatically  was enabled from 23R1. Please find a screen print from the new features power point from HCM 23R1 and screen shot from the database task. So it will not work for versions before 23R1
