I’m wanting to run a basic Trial Balance as of a Period such as 2025-08.  When I run the trial balance report in Order Report it produces only the changes in that period.  The balance sheet accounts are not showing the inception to date balances.  I cannot figure out how to edit parameters to show a “true” Trial Balance Report.

I would expect to seen an opening balance but that value is zero on balance sheet accounts.

You need to run the report for 2025 and periods 0 through 8.  That will give you inception to date.

It’s only giving me the option to run period 8

I replied below.  Not sure if it’ll alert you that way.

The report IFSR5 is a standard out of box report from IFS.  I stand corrected as far as putting in period 0 for this particular report. However, when I run this report in a test IFS database, I get inception to date balances.  I don’t know why you would be getting only the changes for period 8.  If anyone else reading this post has insight, please advise.

If you don’t have to have a PDF file report, you can get the same information from the GL balance analysis window.  Or you can design your own report in Business Reporter, a trial balance can be created in Business Reporter in a few minutes.

I think the issue is stemming from the FY 2024 not being “closed” rolled to RE for 2025.  When I run the IFSR5 for periods i know were “closed” then i can see opening balances.
