Hello,  Am I missing something?

When reporting personal cost, there isn’t a place to put the employee’s ID.  That means that personal cost can only be entered by the employee and not by anyone else.  Is that right?

That means the only way to register a personal cost that’s for a differnt employee it to create the Project Transaction manually.

Thoughts?
Patrick

Hi @PIreland,

When using the Report Project Cost assistant you are limited to reporting cost for the current user, but you can create cost transactions for other users directly in the Project Costs page:

Note that if project access is switched on, both the logged on user and the employee you report cost for have to have access to the project through the same team.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,
Johan

Thank you @Johan Lagerström,

This is a strange screen in thet, as least for me, you cannot enter a new record unless you have selected Search first.  It’s somewhat misleading because when it is first opened, it appears that it is just a view screen and not ready for new enteries.

Redards,

Patrick

Hi @PIreland,

It sounds like you might have the Startup Behaviour in the page set to ‘Use search’(?) as you then see this behaviour, and this is a feature across the application.

You might already be aware, but to change it click the three dot menu at the top right of the page and select ‘Search Settings’:

In the dialog that opens, select the ‘Show default data’ option:

Now when the page opens it will populate some default data and will show the ‘+’ button.

Kind regards,
Johan

A whole bunch of thank you’s go to you.  I had not made the connection between that setting and what I was seeing.  I’m glad to know that now.

Best Regards,

Patrick
