Hello Community,

I hope you're all having a wonderful day.

I wanted to ask for guidance on how to set up Standing Order / Idle Time / Non-Production labor booking in IFS Applications 10.

Currently, we only book productive hours through Work Order Time Reporting, but there is no provision for capturing time when no production activities are being performed in the workshop.

How can we configure the system to allow labor time booking during idle or indirect activities (e.g., cleaning, maintenance, breakdowns)?

Any help or best practices would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Note: Currently using IFS APP 10.

Hi Affan,,

If your production team are using Shop Orders and the Shop Floor Workbench, you should look into Indirect Jobs / Indirect Clockings. This allows a list of non-production activities to be defined as Indirect Job codes (e.g. Meetings, 5S work, CI work, etc). The SFW page then allows users to clock onto a Shop Order operation (when they are doing production work) or clock onto an indirect code (when they are doing non-production work).

@RobinHunter The production team is using Work Orders instead of Shop Orders
