To create a quick report, go to the area in the image.  

Click on + and On the screen that opens, type the report name in the report title field.

Type: SQL Statement

Select category, Domain fields . You must write your sql query in the query field. You need to publish it after you save it. You should edit who you will give report authorisation with manage grant.

You can define it by yourself.

For us the category the sub department. You can process a quick report by different ways.

By default, you have only SQL and Query Builder.

but there are things are not explained like why i choose Administration in Domain and Security in Category. And after i published, i could not find it in IFS navigator or in any windows, where is the report? is it accessible in “Quick Reports” window only?

Ok, that is a good starting point for me, still not sure about Domain and Category fields, because they are not relative to anything, i can just create new domain and new category;
 

and it works, so they are nothing but for grouping, right?

The category field is defined so that the department for which the relevant quick report was made appears under the relevant category in the quick report breakdown.

Solution Manager → Reporting → Ad-hoc Reporting → Qucik Report Categories

If you wish to use a 3rd report generator there is also the option to configure and deploy Crystal Reports for quick reports.  I've heard of some customers using MS SSRS as well.  However with SSRS there are some rather complex manual configuration steps to be done with SSRS deployment in Apps 10 environments.

As mentioned above the same technical documentation linked above also includes detailed instructions on how to deploy and configure Crystal reports for Quick Reports.  If Crystal is deployed then an additional report type of Crystal would become available.
