Question

Clean process to deploy from DEV to UAT on IFS Cloud Remote

Subject: Question about exporting standard projections

Hello,

IFS Cloud Remote comes with a variety of new tools. We have added many custom fields and entities, and it's easy to create a package for each family of custom entities.

We also modified the projections, for example, for the Project to add those custom fields.

However, I was surprised to see that only custom projections can be exported, and not the standard projections we modified. Is there a specific process for copying these projections from the DEV environment to the UAT environment?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Best regards

I'm not really an expert in this area, but don't you have to prepare a delivery package using the BuildPlace for changes to a standard projection (or any change to the standard). My definition is that a change is something in existing situation is changed, where a custom attribute is added on top of the standard, and it seems like a change.

Hello,

In Cloud Remote deployment, the build place is handled by IFS? We added custom attributes in top of the standard wich are not in the buildplace.

Have you tried to get in contact with your IFS partner on this subject. They may be able to give some more guidelines as I don't fully understand/know your settings.

Hello,

If I am understanding you correctly, you have made numerous configuration changes to various projections in your cloud environment correct? Custom fields, custom events, workflows, any other CRIMS, etc? Are those what you are asking about? Or are you stating that you know how to do those, but you have other partner-built modifications that exist in an environment that you need to transfer over and save?
