Hello everyone,

I was wondering if there is a way to filter catalog group depending on business_unit ( the two field framed in red).

Maybe I should use advanced tab in cell options , But I don’t know how to .

Thank you in advance,

Hanane

I would create an IAL to have all fields in the same QFACT to be able to filter easily .

Hi Hanane,

I did a quick research:
We integrated CATALOG_GROUP and aliased it to SalesGroup in the Dimension DIM_Part.

The BUSINESS_UNIT_ID is located in nearly 80 ORACLE tables.

Do you want to see turnover and quatities filtered by groups of salesparts?
Do you want to filter on top the “locations”?
I would suggest to use SITE_ID and COMPANY_TAB

It could look like this.

What kind of transactional data do you want to analyze?
CustomerOrderLines, CustomerInvoiceLines, … ?

BR
Michael

@Hanane if your FACT and DIM data sources are well built, you have 2 options:

  • add a report level parameter - Business Unit + add it as filter criteria also
  • add BUSINESS_UNIT as a filter criteria in the Design Row

Any option should do the trick if your information source is well defined

Thank you all for the answers.

I found a way to filter directly in one of my IALs, where I have both business unit and catalog group columns.

Kind Regards,

Hanane
