We have just completed an upgrade to IFS Cloud from IFS APPS10. In the Handling Units In Stock search function, there was an option to search for Handling Units In Transit. This function is no longer available in IFS Cloud and receiving handling units from transit takes considerably longer with the options available.

IFS Cloud - Handling Units In Stock screen - trying to add “Transit” to search options

IFS APPS10 - Handling Units In Stock - Search screen

Will this option be added back to Handling Units In Stock?

It seems like this is a backwards step for this process as you either have to search for handling units with a qty equal to zero, to see handling units that may be in transit and move them after checking. Or going through Inventory Parts In Stock and having to input the quantity to move individually for each line.

If you have another method to find and move handling units in transit, within the Handling Units In Stock page, I would be happy to use that.

Thank you.

I think it’s an oversight on the list definition from R&D.

The entity is properly defined with an IsInInventoryTransit attribute:

However, the list definition forgot to add that field:

IsInInventoryTransit not defined as a field for the list

You can customize this with Studio Developper pretty easily, or, if you want to stay in the config layer, you can add the field to the list (as it’s properly been defined in the entity) through the page designer like this:

Field added through Page Designer

At any rate, I’d report this to R&D through IFS Support as I’m pretty sure this is not intentional on R&D’s part given that a lot of commands can actually only be triggered if that field is present, such as this:

This command expects the list to have that field present in order to be enabled (where the flag must be true)
