what free software can Converting Crystal Reports into Report Studio

There is currently no standard IFS tool that can automatically convert Crystal Report (.rpt) files directly into Report Studio (.rep) layouts. Report Studio is based on a different architecture and uses different layout and data-handling mechanisms than Crystal Reports, so a fully automated conversion is generally not possible.

That said, IFS has introduced migration capabilities to assist with report modernization. For example:

• A Report Studio Migration Tool exists for converting legacy Report Designer (RDL) layouts into Report Studio (REP) layouts. However, manual adjustments and validation are typically required after conversion. 
• Internal roadmap information indicates that even with migration tooling, 100% conversion is not guaranteed, and converted layouts should be reviewed and corrected manually where needed.
• Report Studio is the strategic reporting direction for IFS and includes enhanced capabilities such as modern web-based design, calculated fields, charts, barcodes, conditional formatting, and versioning.

If your goal is to reduce the effort of migrating a large number of Crystal Reports, you may want to review partner-provided migration utilities and services that can assist with layout transformation and data mapping, but those are not part of the standard IFS product.
