In Page Designer, when expanding out contents to show the fields, there is an option titled “Default to Previous”. Can anyone explain what this controls or what it does. I have not found anything in the technical documentation. Screenshot is attached for reference.

Take Master Part as a simple example, I have set the Part Main Group as Default to Previous against the global context. I create a new part record whereby I define the Part Main Group as 2, and hit save.
The next time I create a new part record it will automatically default the Part Main Group to the last saved value that was used, which in this case is 2.
