Users disconnect problem

Active users are randomly getting the following error while in IFS.

There is currently a problem connecting to 'http://kiito.xxxx.xx:xxxx'. User is not allowed access.
Most likely causes:

 * User not set as Active.
 * User is not granted connect privileges.

 

The users are actively in IFS when they get this error.     

What causes this issue?

Hello @mfernandez,

Have you configured the environment to SSO or LDAP? If so,  there is a timeout issue may lie with yet to be determined Active Directory settings on the Windows server side of users' authentication. Another possibility for resolution of the issue with user session timeouts could be resolved by simply revoking and then regranting the FND_ENDUSER permission set to erroneous users.

Yes, we have IFS configured to use SSO.   Its not a login issue.   Users are logging into IFS without issue.     Users are actively using IFS for hours and then  get the message.  Different users, at least 2 -3, report this through out the day.

@mfernandez could you please check the active user count has exceeded the user limit on your IFS license. You may check the user limitation on the license on the license management window. If that has been exceeded then you need to speak to the IFS regional office and expand the limitation if not remove few users who are no longer needed.

Hello @mfernandez ,

Have you checked if the users miss one or more AD Groups? Could you please run a reconfiguration and double the ‘Set Request Limit’ parameters and check whether it makes any difference?

Hi, Did you get a resolution for this?  My company are currently experiencing a timeout issue and so far been unable to resolve.

Two things.  

  1. Turned out one of our Active Directory servers was the culprit.  Once that was fixed then we saw less of these errors.
  2. Deleting the content inside the following folders on client PCs.

           C:\Users\<user_id>\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0
