Ubuntu has released Linux kernel vulnerability https://ubuntu.com/security/CVE-2026-98432 and currently Ubuntu 20.04 LTS and Ubuntu 22.04 LTS which are the recommended OS for IFS cloud remote deployments up to 26R2 seems to be affected with this kernel vulnerability.

https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/26r2/080_supported_platforms/#middle_tier_server

Do we have a recommendation?

Patching the OS should be done on regular cadence - not by IFS.
There is a SECURITYUPDATES resource in main that will do the patching, but it’s really up to the owning IT department to make sure all hosted VM’s are secure. (updated but not upgraded)

> main.ps1 --resource SECURITYUPDATES
or
> main.exe --resource SECURITYUPDATES
