Dear Community,

Hoping for your advice/opinion/guidance as I seem to be going around in circles.

Our operations and management team have been creating various lobbies and reports, some of which are being displayed on large TV’s around our buildings.

The issue we are having is each display logs into IFS using a chromium browser on either a Raspberry Pi or old laptop - the session stays displayed for about an hour and kicks off the session.

Does anyone know of a way to keep these dispay’s alive and logged in for more than an hour or is there a better way to display this information to the company?

We are running Cloud 24r1

Many thanks

Steve Boyson

Check the system parameter named “Max idle time until automatic client logoff (in minutes)”, under Solution Manager inside IFS.  Sounds like you might have this set to 60.

I believe that setting this to 0 means that there is no idle timeout.

Nick

Thanks NickPorter - unfortunately even as IFSAPP I am unable to modify the parameter from 7200 and from what I have read so far in the community there isn’t a way around it

Weirdly, if it is set to 7200 minutes, that would obviously be far more than the hour you’re seeing.

If I remember correctly there is also configuration in the middleware server that can also define idle times, but I do not have access to a Cloud environment at present to confirm what/where this is set.  Perhaps someone else on here can point you to that.
