Hi

Take a look in the installation directory:

C:\inetpub\IFS Touch Apps Server

Did any files get updated?

Check the installation log (in the installer dir), does it contain anything more?

@tobese Thank you for your reply, however, we are now back up an running.

The problem was due to the fact instead of taking a ZIP archive backup of the IFSTAS folder I renamed it and then recreated the folder, copying in the new OnPremise folder from the update.

To resolve:

  1. Removed the IFSTAS folder I created
  2. Renamed IFSTAS_old to IFSTAS
  3. I tried running the install to check that it was still working and received the same error
  4. Therefore copied the copy of the web.config file that I took before initially starting the update back into C:\inetpub\IFS Touch Apps Server
  5. Stopped TAS in IIS
  6. Ran the install and it ran through successfully.
  7. Stopped TAS in IIS again
  8. Took a Zip archive of IFSTAS folder
  9. Unzipped IFS_TouchAppsServer_Installer to C:\IFS\IFSTAS
  10. Ran the installer IFSTouchAppsServerInstaller located in C:\IFS\IFSTAS\OnPremise\Installation

Great that you solved it!

A suggestion for a simplified process:

  1. Pack the current installation
  2. Run the installer
  3. If successful, all done, otherwise you can delete and restore with the packed original.
