Good afternoon.

We have recently migrated our IFS Apps 8 SP1 instance to a new data centre on a new virtual device.

The old instance uses an http url to access the Dev, Test and Live instances:

http://################:61080/client/runtime/Ifs.Fnd.Explorer.application (Live url)

We want to change this to an HTTPS connection.

Please can you advise the steps required to implement the change in Apps 8 and any other useful hints/tips?

Best regards - Simon Brooker

Hi @SIMONJB,

You can find instructions in Foundation1 Documentation in following locations.

  • Configure SSL for Application Server:

//IFS Installation Guide / Fresh Install / Initial System Configuration / Securing Communication / Configuring SSL/TLS/HTTPS

Under this section, there are lots of pages related to this. Refer to the “Installation guide” link mentioned in this document for instructions on installing the SSL certificate for Application Server.

  • Configure  Oracle for SSL:

//IFS Installation Guide / Installation Tools References / Configure Oracle for SSL.

This is about securing the communication between the application server and the database.

Hope this helps!

Good morning Charath,

Exactly what I was looking for.  Located both topics in our Technical Documentation.  I will review with the team and draw up an implementation plan.

Best regards - Simon
