Hi,

we are using IFS Apps 9 version and having issues when downloading files when clicking on IFS screens. The download bar says download 100% complete and yet it stays there stuck without opening the screen. The only way to get to the screen in IFS application at this is point is by closing the application window and log back in. Has anyone seen this before and if so do you have any suggestions on how to resolve this problem? Thanks!!

Can you try to close the app, clear the cache and then try to launch IEE again?

Easiest way to do this is to click on Start/Windows icon - open command prompt and then paste rundll32 dfshim CleanOnlineAppCache and hit return

Hi @psusarla ,

We have been experiencing the same issue but with IFS Application 10 Update 8.  We believe this started after a Microsoft update but we haven’t pinpointed which one as yet.  We suspect it may have been the Windows 10 22H2 update recently installed.

@anmise  we’ll try clearing the cache to see if that makes any difference in our environment.

Hi,

Thanks for responding anmise..Will this command remove everything under C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Apps - 2.0 folder? If yes, we can’t do that as IFS will download files for every screen that user opens since previous previously cached files will get wiped out causing performance issues. This started recently and was not happening previously!

Hi William,

Thanks for confirming that it started happening for you guys after recent Microsoft Update. We did not see this issue before also. Happening Randomly. Please keep me posted if you figure out how to resolve this. Thank you!!!

Yes it will, for that user. It shouldn’t download any screens automatically, but just the first time the user opens them again. Sounds odd that you are having performance issues because of that. Performance for the user temporarily or you notice overall system performance deteriorate?

Morning Anmise!

I understand it downloads the files the first time user opens a screen and we have been telling the users to delete 2.0 folder as a work around for the issue and it causes temporary performance issue for the user Not overall system performance. But it is happening for many users all of a sudden and that’s why I was checking to see if anyone else is experiencing similar issue and there is a better resolution than having to delete the cached files.

Thank you!
