Will there be a future release with the ability to choose to sort Purchase Req lines by Supplier Name?  Our Buyers are somewhat put out by the Account Number/Supplier Name concatenation.

We are on IFS Cloud 23.1.

Thanks

Hi Linda,

We can sort Purchase Requisition lines by Supplier Name. Option is already there.

Refer below screenshot.

Hope I understood your query correctly.

@Abdul that sorts only by Supplier ID.

What @PRODQ is hoping for is the functionality that exists in some of these ‘concatenated’ columns such as the Part No in Inventory Parts where the user can order by Part No or Part Description, so the ability to order by Supplier ID or Supplier Name.

@matt.watters sorting with column VendorName would sort results by supplier name only and there is separate column to sort with Supplier id.

However, @PRODQ looking for an option like Inventory Parts screen as you mentioned. Page designer setup would become like a hard coded only.

That’s exactly it!

Clearly, I need to do a straw poll amongst our Buyers to see if they’d all be happy to have the sort ‘hard-coded’ in the Page Designer per @Abdul’s suggestion.

Feels like there should be a letter to IFS asking for them not to concatenate data in fields but if you are to always have the option to choose the sort by because whatever they pick will not suit everyone :-)

Thanks for engaging, folks!
