Hello,

As of today, the print agent that was working ok on Friday is not working today.   Things that we have tried:

  • Rebooted the Print Server
  • Rebooted Managed Servers
  • Rebuild the Print Agent
  • Move the Print Agent to Another Server
  • Verified connectivity between Managed Server and Print Server

Is there anything else that we should check or that we are missing?  UPD10 - 15

Hi,

This looks like an issue in the server side. Have you tried to verify the settings given in the Report Formatter Template. Check if the host:port is correct and it’s the same host:port the Print Agent is listening no. Check from the middle tire server machine if this host:port can be access. Maybe some Windows Security update is blocking this port now. You can also check the server logs for any detailed error messages and stack traces.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Chanaka

Hello Chanaka,

Thank you for your helpful suggestions.  Based on your response, we re-examined the network connection.  It was discovered that the firewall on the print server was accidently turned on causing the time out.  We were fooled into thinking the connection was good because we were able to ping servers successfully.

Thank you very much!

Best regards,

Mark
