Because I am new to IFS, these may be basic questions for some of you.
We discovered that our environments are at three different Oracle patch levels. The TEST is the highest (Patch 33488333), followed by the acceptance environment (Patch 32392089). The Oracle bundle patch level in production is the lowest (Patch 30268021).
We considered updating the acceptance environment first, followed by the production environment.

1. What is the importance of an environment's Oracle bundle patch level?
2. What effect will it have on the IFS application?
3. What should we look for before patching the Oracle patch level of an environment?
4. What should we look for after the Oracle patch level of an environment?
5. What kind of testing must be performed prior to updating the Oracle bundle patch level of Prod?
