Object Connections to Custom entities connected to Standard Projection

Hi!

 

My IFS Cloud 22R2 SU12 customer has an issue with his custom entity, which is connected to an stranded projections via projection configuration and then used to create a list inside a tab in a standard form connected to the said projection.

Object connections are enabled and cash refreshed

But when the list is created and connected to the standard page, the attachment ican is not shown

 

 

but this works well when this list is used in a custom projection

 

 

Does anyone has experienced this before and did something to get this working? Or is this a bug in the system which will be fixed in the later versions?

Hi, 

This is a feature limitation in framework tracks prior to 23.

  • New projection - extends standard projection does not support object connections. 
  • A custom projection for a custom entity do support object connections.

From 23R1 both scenarios will support object connections.

This is a known limitation when it comes to having used a Custom Entity in a Standard Projection, which do not take the Custom Entities into consideration when figuring out the available Object Connections (Attachments).

The Attachments logic has been redesigned starting 23R1 which solves this limitation (and others at the same time).
