Hello,

This week started off by users reporting that they could not log into IFS with their network credentials.  I confirmed for both our PROD and TEST environment that was the case.  All app and db servers were running.  I initially rebooted both PROD app and db servers.  This did not resolve any login issues.  Ultimately, I found documentation regarding reconfiguring the LDAP environments which solved the issue.  

The question is; what caused this and did it have to do with moving new calendar year?  I’ve seen the reconfiguration steps done in the past, but it was done by our IFS admins at that time and it was not clear to me what caused the issue.  I’m trying to understand the reasoning this happens even though we have the fix.
