Badge +3

Hello everyone,

I am new to IFS Cloud and preparing IFS Cloud installation. Middle Tier server is linux box with Kubernetes. We are in confusion how exactly the Middle Tier server to be created and setup.

Is OVA file template to be restore from vSphere and can be run from Management server ?

Or Linux box server to be created from cloud and restore OVA template into to it ?

Pl guide us to setup Middle Tier server

Hi @NareshSonavane ,

The OVA file is your base for the MT. All you need to do it so import it in to your VSphere infrastructure and make the basic changes to the image so that it can sit in your internal network. Please refer to https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/22r1/070_remote_deploy/010_installing_fresh_system/030_preparing_server/40_middletier_server/.

Instructions on the online documentation is quite good so please go through https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/22r1/070_remote_deploy/010_installing_fresh_system/ before you get started to get familiar with the process.

Cheers

Hi, we now able to download the OVA file from build-place and imported the .ova into Oracle VM VirtualBox Manager.

The Linux server started and asking for login details, we don’t know the login details. Pl help us to reset the user and password. As we cant reset it without giving current user credentials.

Thanks and regards

What is the login password after you install a template (ifs-remote-2.0.1.ova)  provided in the docs?

Without this , no way to setup the middle tier server for deployment.

Also the ifsclouvalues.yaml link is missing https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/22r1/070_remote_deploy/010_installing_fresh_system/200_installing_ifs_cloud/035_ifs_cloud_ifsinstaller/030_installation_parameters/example_itd/index.md.

Without this, we have no way of setting this yaml to deploy.
