Hi,

(Using IFS9)

In Solution Manager under System Parameters there is an option to make Report Designer PDF/A compliant. If we select yes, print a report and open it in Adobe Reader it will say “This file claims compliance with the PDF/A standard and has been opened in read-only to prevent modification”. All well so far.

But if we run the file through a PDF validator it says something along these lines:

Validating file "TEST.pdf" for conformance level pdfa-1b

The property 'pdf:keywords' is not defined in schema 'Adobe PDF Schema'.

The document does not conform to the requested standard.

The document's meta data is either missing or inconsistent or corrupt.

The document does not conform to the PDF/A-1b standard.

Done.

The validator succesfully validates other PDF-files from other souces, but so far no file from IFS.

Have any of you tried out this option, and does it work well for you?

Perhaps there is some additional configuration to be done which we’ve missed.

George

Hi,

The PDF/A compliance has it’s limitations and due to this the PDF doesn’t get validated with some PDF validators.  I can’t remember what but some online PDF validators do certify it.
