Is it possible to synchronize employee information from Human resources (for instance company, manager and title) in IFS 10 to Active Directory or Azure AD using an API? Masterdata of HR are stored and administrated in IFS, and we want those data to be synchronized to local AD or Azure AD (primarily Azure AD).

Yes it is and we are in the process of developing the exact integration pipeline you have described. We currently are operating Azure AD in hybrid mode and so are initially integrating to our on premise AD. With the expectation that the user attributes will be visible in both AD and Azure AD.

We should have a working prototype in the next week or two, and happy to share any findings if required.

That sounds like the solution we are looking for. Do you have any other information? Is it a REST-API, or do you build another integration solution?

Yes we did use the native Aurena REST API’s to do this out of the box. We use a iPAAS solution called Snaplogic to call the IFS API’s and then perform the updates to AD via LDAPs.

All of our IFS integrations are built this way and we do now have a working prototype. I can share the details of the IFS API’s we have used if that helps but the we did so via a straightforward capture within Aurena.

I will try to send you a direct message. 🙂
