As per the official IFS Cloud documentation, the Report Excel Plugin has been deprecated since 21R1. However, it continues to function in the latest 25R2 environments. We would appreciate clarification from IFS R&D regarding the roadmap for this plugin, including whether there are plans for its removal and the recommended long-term approach for customers.
We have significant business requirements to export standard order reports to Excel. In IFS Applications 10, this was achieved using Quick Reports based on RPT tables. Since report data is no longer stored in RPT tables in IFS Cloud, our available options are:
- Excel Plugin
- Business Reporter
- Quick Reports
For complex reports, such as Received Not Yet Invoiced, Business Reporter and Quick Reports cannot easily reproduce the standard report output. The Excel Plugin currently appears to be the only practical solution for preserving the standard report layout and functionality.
Could you please advise on the future of the Excel Plugin and recommend the preferred approach for customers who need to export complex standard reports to Excel?
We also noticed that several community discussions have raised the same concern but remain unanswered,
