Hello

Has someone experiance running IFS enterprise explorer client with Mac?

Hi @Jouni,

You need .NET 4.5 or later to run the IFS Client. This is a windows only version released by Microsoft. So you cannot run IFS on macOS. As a workaround, you can install a virtual windows on macOS and launch IFS within it.

Hope this helps!

Hi, as an alternative you can use Remote Desktop (or any other similar Windows desktop sharing like VNC) or Desktop Virtualization like Citrix or VMware Horizon or even better - Application Publishing like Citrix https://www.citrix.com/products/citrix-virtual-apps-and-desktops/ (we are using a quite old Presentation Server 6.5 to publish IFS9 to no Windows devices - IFS runs fine on Mac, Android, and even Linux clients).

All of the solutions require additional processing, setup, and maintenance - if it’s only one client machine I would install VM Windows on Mac.
