I’ve recently upgraded IFS Developer Studio from 10.82 to 22.120. After I installed, I encountered a bunch of errors that render the application unable to launch. I have already attempted removing the Developer Studio folder from the AppData folder, as described here;

I’ve tried this multiple times and it hasn’t resolved my issues. I have uninstalled all previous versions of IFS Developer Studio. There are >4,000 errors relating to modules not being found, with the most prominent message being;

The module named {module_name} was needed and not found

It also seems like some jar modules aren’t installed alongside IFS Developer Studio, I have manually attempted to locate these files and they’re not present.

I’ve attached a zip file containing the error messages. Any help on how to resolve this would be massively appreciated. The messages were taken from
 %AppData%\DeveloperStudio\21.12\var\log.

Kind regards,
Micah Clarke

Hi @MClarke

Can you try out this: seems like it’s the same issue and this will help you.

Downloading a fresh installer from Developer portal. Uninstall the tool if you have already installed 22.120 or a 22.1 version from your machine. After uninstalling make sure to follow the steps given in

  1. First close the tool if you have it opened.
  2. Delete the ”User Directory” content. Locate the directory using the following path, and delete the entire content inside “22.12” folder “C:\Users\hamalk\AppData\Roaming\DeveloperStudio\22.12”
  3. Download a  fresh installer from Developer Portal, and reinstall the tool
  4. Tool should get installed without any issue now.

Thanks

Hi @hamalk ,

Can you provide a checksum of the installer so I check its integrity? This is mine using SHA512:

SHA512 hash of SetupDeveloperStudio_22.1-64bit.exe:
0a3ca233229dbf6544db96f5e1156e239b51a7f1560048a268bd093e74ac8f86441a30d4bee97ce172c55c18201d6470f28c0f3a1912c6b97a47e2bfefdcfb65
