I need a way to update the Component Scrap on the Shop Order Material tab when the order is created without user intervention in IFS Cloud.  Currently in Apps9 when we create a Configuration on a Shop Order Customer Order Line, the Scrap Qty is transferred to the creatd Shop Order.  This does not work in IFS Cloud.  Is this possible with a workflow?

@hercellis do have any screenshots comparing your Apps9 experience vs IFS Cloud. Also, which version of IFS are you on?

We are currently in the process of upgrading from Apps9 to 24R1.  You reference KB0082029 for all the details of the issue.

Can you provide a link to the knowledge base article? I cannot find it searching here: https://community.ifs.com/knowledge-base

I upvoted the community idea:

…but sounds like there’s a basic data change option or a customization is needed in the interim. (To sum it up for the community)

Right, I spent a few weeks working with them on it.  Unfortunately that is a blocker for go-live for us, which is why I am looking for a worklow solution.  Normally I would do in with a custom event with PL/SQL, but knowing they are going away, I am not creating any new ones.

Hi,

im not too much familiar with the functionality, but technically you should be able to use a workflow to get this value updated. Have you encountered any issues when trying to do this using a workflow?

Hi,

I think you should be able to do this in workflow if you have done the same via PLSQL.

As in PLSQL, you may not be able to do all compelx things. But most of the things are possible via workflows now.

Wasana
