Hello,

We’re currently working through our upgrade from Apps 10 to IFS Cloud and our biggest pain point is really the IFS Cloud support for Crystal Reports.

In Apps 10 we have a lot of custom right-mouse button menus to print reports (quick and operational). These RMBs also pass variables. It does not appear that this functionality is really there in IFS Cloud. This greatly diminishes our customer experience.

I know that Arcwide has a potential solution out there, I just wanted to see what others were doing to achieve this. We can’t be the only customer feeling this.

IFS VOICE OF CUSTOMER - this sucks and we hate it. Find a way to work with SAP and give us a long term solution. Crystal Reports has been a staple of the business world for a reason. We are accustomed to this functionality and want to keep it!

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Mike

Hi @mfrejik ,

I think your biggest pain point is yet to come, as IFS are depreciating Crystal from 25R1 onwards, with each version having more and more limitations. If I were you I’d be thinking about a wholesale change away from Crystal all together.

We were lucky that we didnt have many crystal reports - so the lack of functionality was limited, we did find a work around in some areas was to leverage from an operational report, which bypasses the prompts totally, but this only works if the operational report has the keys needed to get the data set you want to display.

Sorry that doesn’t help, but we felt the same (and have many others), but the Crystal model doesnt support the new architecture of IFS Cloud.

David.

We are in the process of upgrading from Apps 10 to Cloud 25R1. We decided to go ahead with crystal report conversions now instead of waiting. I saw a quick video of the Arcwide Reporting Service. Is there anyone out there that has used this? Is it requiring you to keep Crystal Reports running on a server?

My previous company was pretty successful using the Arcwide reporting service. It delivered what they said. It let us use Crystal for quick reports. We couldnt find a competitive product that solved crystal for quick reports.

There is an issue that requires us to restart the service every once in a while, and we’re reaching out to them for support on that. Overall, it’s a good product.
