IFS Cloud Connect: How to Disable Automatic Retries for Failed REST Messages?

Forum|alt.badge.img+4

Hi Everyone,

We are using IFS Cloud (25R1 and 26R3) and have an integration that sends data to an external REST API through an Application Message using a CONNECT routing rule.

When the external API returns an error or the connection fails, the Application Message automatically enters a Retry state and continues attempting to resend the request.

I would like to understand if there is a way to prevent automatic retries when an error occurs.

Ideally, I would like the Application Message to move directly to a Failed state rather than continuing to retry.

A few questions:

Is there a configuration setting in IFS Cloud that controls the retry behaviour for outbound REST messages?
Can automatic retries be disabled for a specific routing rule or integration without affecting other integrations?
Is it possible to configure certain errors to immediately fail while allowing retries for temporary connection issues?

Any guidance on where these settings can be configured would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
