We are currently using IFS Apps10 - Update 19 and our users are starting to report that IFS Enterprise Explorer would randomly shut down on them.

We checked our background jobs to see where a pile up started happening in the queue and we found that the pile up starts happening first thing in the morning after the background job = Batch_Sys.Fnd_Heavy_Cleanup_

  1. Is this happening to anyone else?
  2. Is there anywhere else in IFS that I could check?

The only major change we did is updating our APPS10 to 19 but this was mid November 2023 and we started getting these reports at the end of December 2023/beginning of January 2024.

Hi @jamie.malangyaon ,

Batch_Sys.Fnd_Heavy_Cleanup_ - Heavy Cleanup is a scheduled cleanup job which must run once a night. (Usually scheduled to run at 12 Midnight). The job will remove data from Print Jobs, Archived Print Jobs, History log data, Scheduled Tasks and Event messages.

This job shouldn’t be scheduled to run during the peak hours. Could you please check the time it has been scheduled.

For further details on scheduled jobs, please refer the below documentation.

Thank you,

Aswin.

@Aswin Shadhujan Sure thing, this scheduled job runs at 12:01AM so it is not during our peak hours. I am wondering if it is something else or if there is somewhere else ni IFS that I could check that could abruptly shut down IFS for our users.
