Question

How to add a new search attribute to existing Searh Domain

Forum|alt.badge.img+2

Hi,

What is the deployment process after adding a new attribute to an existing Search Domain?

We can follow the Development Guidelines and add a new attribute using the below documentation. But how to deploy the changes to an existing instance?

Hi,

I have no practical experience of doing that.

I think PL SQL and meta data insert scripts can be installed as normal DB file installation.

Then they should be listed in the below table.

This is found in Solution Manager/User Interface/Application search.

Then you have to enable it

You can find how to enable in the below path

https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/foundation1/040_administration/220_user_interface/040_application_search/010_search_domains/default.htm#Enable_Search_Domains

Hi,

I’ don’t it is that easy. You model your search domain in a .searchdomain file.

During IFS Build this .searchdomain file is transformed into plsql package and .ins files to be installation during the installation process. What I need is the steps thats do the transformation.
